“Skipper” Al and Wreaths Across America

In each of our lives, we occasionally meet truly great people. This year, San Diego Mensa will be honoring United States Navy Commander Corwin Allan ‘Skipper Al’ Bell (July 15, 1941 – Aug 27, 2017) at the wreath laying ceremony. Skipper Al was an amazing man and a true gentleman. The touching story of his rescuing 47 Vietnamese boat people in the South China Sea can be found by following this link (https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-boat-people-give-thanks-to-navy-commander-2012nov21-story.html).
